A calculation tool for qualified people
Axomek calculates shafts, bearings, gears, bolted joints, fits, keys, drives and related machine elements after published methods and standards. It is meant for engineers and students who understand those methods and can judge whether they apply. It does not replace engineering judgement, testing or the review a design needs before it is built.
What the results are
- Results come from models with simplifying assumptions, listed in each report under “Methods and assumptions”. Real parts can behave differently: manufacturing tolerances, materials, lubrication, mounting, temperature, dynamic loads and wear all matter.
- Where the Software follows a standard (for example ISO 281, ISO 6336, DIN 743, VDI 2230), it implements our reading of it, which may simplify or omit parts. It is not certified or endorsed by any standards body. For binding work use the standard itself.
- Bearing, material and catalogue data are typical values. Use the manufacturer's current data for a real design.
- The results are only as good as the inputs. Check units, loads, load cases and boundary conditions.
- The AI assistant can misunderstand you and make mistakes, including in the changes it makes to a project. Review every change and result it produces.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for the designs you make and for checking results independently, especially where failure could hurt people, damage property or the environment, or where codes, regulations or certification apply. Do not rely on the Software alone for safety-critical decisions.
No liability for designs
To the extent the law allows, we accept no liability for loss or damage arising from designs, products or decisions based on results of the Software. The terms of service set out the full limits of our liability.
